What Is The Energetic Body?
The human body not only is the physical body that we can feel, it also consists of layers of energetic fields. The first layer is the physical body, which has weight, shape, and volume. You can touch it, see it, and contemplate its reflection in the mirror. But there are other energy fields surrounding the physical body that are not so easily seen and which are commonly referred to collectively as a person’s aura (commonly called the 8th Chakra). Together, these layers, or energy bodies, comprise the human energy field. These layers are where our mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional characteristics are stored. They can be in balance or out of balance. Which is why energy medicine practitioners believe that it’s not enough to just treat the physical body when people fall sick.
In medicine today we use common tests that read our energetic fields. Think of an electroencephalogram (EEG) around the brain or electrocardiogram (EKG) around the heart, that are reading the energy field around those organs.
Many ancient cultures saw the human body in terms of “energy” and used different approaches to initiate the body’s self-healing mechanisms. Widespread practices include Traditional Chinese Medicine (TDM), Qi Gong, and Shamanic traditions. Even the nutritionally-focused Ayurveda, which originated in India more than 5,000 years ago, is centred around balancing the three principle energies of the body – Vata, Pitta and Kapha
General Energetic Treatments
Keeping the energetic fields clear and the Chakra system flowing correctly is essential in dealing with general health, especially as an erection is a highly energetic process. To maintain balance within these fields, Energy healing techniques are required.
Energetic Healing is a term for any therapy that manipulates the energy circuits in our physical or energy bodies to regain balance and facilitate our body’s innate healing mechanisms.

Some of the more well know therapies that fall under the heading “energetic healing” include Reiki, Sound therapy, light therapy, Reflexology, Kinesiology, Thought Field Therapy and Acupuncture. However, energetic healing also encompasses lesser-known natural therapies such as: Aura and Chakra balancing; Flower and Vibrational Essences, Crystal Healing, Colour Therapy, Spiritual Healing, and other forms of bodywork.
Chakra’s
In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” means “disk” or “wheel” and refers to the energy centres in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs. As all chakras are connected releasing any blocks within one will affect the whole system.
To function at their best, your chakras need to stay open, and balanced. This allows energy to flow freely through the body’s energetic meridians or channels. If they get out of balance, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
What Does It Mean If A Chakra Is Unbalanced?
Diane Malaspina, PhD, a yoga medicine therapeutic specialist, says…
“There can be a depletion of energy flow or too much energetic activity in a chakra — each will manifest into different outcomes. When a chakra is low in energy, you’ll have difficulty expressing the particular qualities associated with that chakra. When a chakra is overactive, the qualities are a dominant force in the person’s life. This can have both physical and emotional effects. For example, the first chakra is about security, survival, and the foundation of our life. If it’s underactive, it can show up as depression and insecurity. If there’s too much energy, it can show up as fearlessness without precaution or hoarding because you need more to feel secure.”
There are seven main chakras that run along your spine. They start at the root, or base, of your spine and extend to the crown of your head. Each chakra has yoga poses that may help fine-tune its energy.
All seven chakras are interconnected and create loops of energy that surround the body. And when there’s resistance to the energy (like stress or poor diet), then blockages occur. In general, the location of the chakra that’s out of balance may affect the parts of your body near that chakra. This includes your organs, bones, joints, and tissues near that area. Even one imbalanced chakra will affect all the other chakras in your system.
From an outsider’s point of view, the signs of blocked chakras can include financial turmoil, sexual oppression, low self-esteem, illnesses, erectile issues , stubbornness, and heartbreak, just to name a few. Your chakras can be blocked by life challenges. It can manifest as something physical (like a never-ending migraine) or even emotional (like self-doubt).
The chakra’s relating to erections are the Sacral, Root, Solar plexus, and Heart Chakra’s. Making sure these charkas are unblocked would be majorly beneficial with any erectile dysfunction issues, especially the SACRAL chakra.
Here are a few more blocked chakra symptoms that are tell-tale signs you need to activate your chakras:
- Difficulty sleeping
- Difficulty concentrating
- Chronic depression or anxiety
- Mood swings
- Trouble communicating
- Difficulty connecting with others
- Feeling ‘stuck’
An easy way to activate the Chakra system is by doing yoga. Daily specific yoga poses and breathing practices, will activate these chakras. Along with Meditation to clear the mind, this gives a great start to healing erectile issues related to energetic blocks.
The sacral chakra is just below your belly button.
This chakra is responsible for your sexual and creative energy. It’s also linked to how you relate to your emotions as well as the emotions of others. The sacral chakra is associated with our reproductive area and is responsible for our creativity and sensuality. Yoga poses that strengthen your pelvic floor, where the sacral chakra resides, such as Bridge Pose or deep hip openers like Pigeon Pose or Lizard Pose, are great for strengthening your sacral chakra.
This chakra needs to be released if suffering from Erectile dysfunction. Doing KEGEL exercises will also strengthen this Chakra.
Kegel Exersices For Men – To get started
- Find the right muscles. To identify your pelvic floor muscles, stop urination in midstream or tighten the muscles that keep you from passing gas. These manoeuvres use your pelvic floor muscles. Once you’ve identified your pelvic floor muscles, you can do the exercises in any position, although you might find it easiest to do them lying down at first.
- Perfect your technique. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles, hold the contraction for three seconds, and then relax for three seconds.

- Try it a few times in a row. When your muscles get stronger, try doing Kegel exercises while standing, sitting, or walking. You can do them anywhere.
- Maintain your focus. For best results, focus on tightening only your pelvic floor muscles. Be careful not to flex the muscles in your abdomen, thighs, or buttocks. Avoid holding your breath. Instead, breathe freely during the exercises.
- Repeat 3 times a day. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day.
Make Kegel exercises part of your daily routine.
Fit in a set of Kegel exercises every time you do a routine task, such as brushing your teeth.
Do another set after you urinate, to get rid of the last few drops of urine.
Contract your pelvic floor muscles just before and during any activity that puts pressure on your abdomen, such as sneezing, coughing, laughing or heavy lifting.
Adding meditations along with the above exercises ensures penis health and erectile strength.
