What You Can Do

When dealing with mental issues those with comorbid psychiatric disorders should have a psychiatrist or Psychologist review their condition.

Many drugs used to treat mental issues like SRI antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro, Zoloft, Celexa, Sarafem and Luvox), may cause Erectile Dysfunction, and will need reviewing. There are many natural treatments that work as effectively as drugs on depression, anxiety, and many mental health issues. Treatments using a wholistic natural approach are nutritional supplements, diet, lifestyle changes and positive thinking.

Mental issues have many casual factors and to start any healing these need to be addressed. Dealing with factors like general nutritional health, toxicity and emotional trauma release are a start.

Mental issues will raise cortisol (stress hormone) levels in the body, lowering Nitric Oxide levels and this is a big problem, as Nitric Oxide is essential for the erection process. Lowering or controlling cortisol is a must. Stress relieving therapies like meditation, yoga, and earthing, help to control cortisol.

By changing the diet and lifestyle you will start addressing issues like blood sugar levels, high cholesterol, atherosclerosis, increasing Nitric oxide and Niacin levels, balance testosterone, and lower body weight  , this alone may reverse your erectile dysfunction . Ceasing habits like excessive alcohol consumption, recreational drug use and smoking are also necessary to help heal ED.
